Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Podrobno.uz News Agency. On the 10th anniversary of the death of Islam Karimov, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Scientific and Educational Memorial Complex in Tashkent and laid a wreath at the monument to the first president.

Ceremony participants highlighted Karimov's role in Uzbekistan's independence, maintaining peace, and strengthening statehood. In his memory, religious leaders recited verses from the Quran.

Flowers were also laid by representatives of the Oliy Majlis chambers, the Presidential Administration, the Cabinet of Ministers, ministries and agencies, as well as figures from science, culture, and the public.

Commemorative events took place not only in the capital but also in Samarkand and Karshi.
