The volume of deposits in banks of Uzbekistan grew by almost 34% over the year, from approximately 360 trillion to 482.7 trillion soums. Thus, over the year, the amount of funds in deposits increased by more than 122 trillion soums, according to AN Podrobno.uz.

According to the Central Bank, 142 trillion soums, or 29% of the total volume, are demand deposits. Another 175.7 trillion soums are placed in deposits for up to one year — 36% of all deposits.

Long-term deposits with a term of more than one year hold 164.9 trillion soums, or 34% of the total volume. A year earlier, their share was 37%, while deposits for up to one year accounted for 33%.

Recall that the Central Bank changed the procedure for calculating the official exchange rate. From September 15, when forming it, transactions not only on the currency market but also on the interbank over-the-counter market will be taken into account.
