A video circulated on social networks showing a Damas driver dangerously maneuvering in the courtyard of multi-storey buildings in Qarshi, including areas where small children were present. The Kashkadarya Regional Road Safety Service reported that the driver has been identified.
According to the agency, the individual born in 2005 drove at high speed between multi-storey buildings in the Chulquvar mahalla of Qarshi and failed to obey the stop signal from a prevention inspector and citizens. The driver stated he was under stress at the time and apologized.
“My shift had ended, I took my brother’s Damas without permission. I drove roughly fast in the mahalla, there were small children, I didn’t see them. I didn’t know for sure that there were small children nearby. Now I ask a thousand apologies from my people, from the parents of those children, I regret what I did. At that moment I was in a state of stress. I will not drive without a license again,” the driver said.
Administrative protocols were drawn up against him under several articles of the Code of Administrative Responsibility. The vehicle was placed in a penalty parking lot for temporary storage.
Earlier in Samarkand, a video circulated showing a Malibu driver failing to yield to 8 citizens crossing at a pedestrian crossing and nearly hitting them. An administrative protocol was drawn up against him for road hooliganism, and the documents were sent to the Samarkand City Court for Criminal Cases.
