The Committee for Competition Development has launched a case against regional electricity network enterprises. Businesses were illegally charged 5.5 billion sums for reconnection to the grids.

According to the committee's press service, a presidential decree and government resolutions had abolished fees for reconnection after debt repayment. However, an analysis of data provided by the Business Ombudsman revealed that from August 23, 2025, to February 2026, electricity networks collected 5.5 billion sums from businesses in 965 cases.

Signs of unjustified income were identified. The case has been initiated against "Hududiy Elektr Tarmoqlari" and its enterprises.

Earlier, it was reported that the Competition Committee initiated an inspection of airlines regarding compensation payments to passengers for delayed flights. The agency reminded that passengers on domestic flights in the country are entitled to compensation if a flight is delayed due to the carrier's fault.
