New tariffs for drinking water supply and wastewater services have been approved in the Tashkent region. The new rates will take effect on October 3 of this year.
According to the approved changes, the cost of one cubic meter of drinking water for the population, excluding VAT, will be 3,100 soums. For budget organizations and wholesale consumers, the tariff per cubic meter is set at 16,000 soums.
Residents of the region will have to pay 1,500 soums per cubic meter for sewerage services, excluding VAT. For budget organizations and wholesale consumers, the cost of wastewater services will be 4,000 soums per cubic meter.
These tariffs are being introduced to cover costs in the water supply sector and improve infrastructure. The price increase may put noticeable financial pressure on households and organizations.
