In the Uchko‘prik district of Fergana region, 37 people sought medical help on September 17–18 after consuming hot dogs and burgers at a fast-food outlet. They complained of weakness, nausea, and diarrhea.

According to the Food Safety Committee, 31 of them were hospitalized. The rest received outpatient care.

An epidemiological investigation is underway. Specialists have taken food samples for laboratory analysis. The fast-food outlet has been temporarily closed.

The exact cause of the poisoning has not yet been determined. Further information will be provided once test results are available.
