On September 18, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Economy and Finance between Deputy Minister Akhadbek Khaydarov and representatives of the Asian Development Bank. The main topic of the talks was the introduction and development of gender-oriented budgeting.

During the meeting, the parties discussed ensuring gender equality, the practical implementation of gender-oriented budgeting, and promising areas of bilateral cooperation. The importance of promoting gender approaches in education, healthcare, and social protection, as well as improving the qualifications of government agency employees in this area, was emphasized.

The participants considered the development of a special practical guide for civil servants that explains in an accessible form the goals, content, and principles of gender-oriented budgeting. In addition, the organization of personnel training and the preparation of a practical roadmap for the development of this area were discussed.

Following the meeting, agreements were reached on determining further measures for the development of gender-oriented budgeting, taking into account the current two-year strategy and the work done in the republic, as well as on holding working meetings with the participation of relevant ministries, agencies, and international organizations.
