During his visit to Karakalpakstan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the Nukus Insulation Group plant in the city of Nukus. The enterprise specializes in producing modern thermal insulation materials from local basalt raw materials.

The project cost $50 million. The plant is equipped with modern European machinery, enabling production that meets international standards. Its capacity is 50,000 tons of thermal insulation materials per year, worth 300 billion soums. The facility has created 150 new jobs.

Basalt-based products are highly fire-resistant, offer effective thermal insulation, and have a long service life. Using such materials in construction improves the energy efficiency of buildings and reduces heating and cooling costs.

The head of state toured the production workshops and spoke with the workforce. Regional governors assigned to districts of Karakalpakstan reported on their work.

The President emphasized the need to expand support for the regions, strengthen industrial cooperation, jointly utilize existing opportunities, and increase the number of projects aimed at raising incomes and employment.
