The government of Uzbekistan has approved a new regulation governing the delivery, placement, and storage of detained vehicles at special temporary storage facilities in Tashkent. The document aims to streamline operations and enhance transparency in the impound lot system.

According to the regulation, when an authorized state body decides to place a vehicle in an impound lot, a corresponding notification is sent to government agencies and legal entities providing relevant services through the "Impound Lot" module. This digital notification system is expected to ensure timely communication among all parties involved.

Vehicles of individuals who have committed offenses entailing deprivation of driving privileges may only be transported to the impound lot using special equipment — a tow truck or manipulator. This requirement is designed to prevent damage to vehicles during transportation and ensure safety.

After the reasons for detaining the vehicle are eliminated, permission for its release from the impound lot is issued through the "Impound Lot" module. The release permit is issued exclusively by officials of the body considering the administrative case. The permit will be generated through the "Impound Lot" module, confirmed by a QR code, and sent electronically to the driver and the legal entity providing vehicle storage services within one business day.

It is prohibited to release detained vehicles from the impound lot based on permits that were not issued through the "Impound Lot" module. This measure is intended to combat corruption and ensure full digitalization of the process.
