President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has expressed deep condolences over the death of renowned farmer and Hero of Uzbekistan Parda Ziyatov, who passed away on September 23 at the age of 79. The president's press service reported the news.

Parda Ziyatov was born in 1947 in the Sharof Rashidov (formerly Jizzakh) district of Jizzakh region. He graduated from the Samarkand Agricultural Technical College with a degree in agronomy. He began his career as a timekeeper at the Hamroqul Nosirov collective farm, later serving as a brigade leader and chief contractor of a shareholding farm. From 2003 to 2018, he headed the "Quyoshsevar Parda" farm, where he established his own school of experience in cotton and grain cultivation.

By presidential decree, he was awarded the title of Hero of Uzbekistan for his contributions to the development of the agricultural sector and many years of service to the country. Parda Ziyatov enjoyed well-deserved authority not only in Jizzakh region but throughout the republic as a skilled organizer, modest and sincere person.

He was also active in political and public life. In particular, he served as a deputy of the Supreme Assembly (Oliy Majlis) from 1990 to 1995, a member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis from 2005 to 2015, and for many years as a deputy of regional and district councils of people's deputies. His consistent overfulfillment of contract plans and the school of experience he created in cotton and grain cultivation became an example for many farmers.

"A bright representative of the country's agricultural sector, a veteran of labor, a sincere and modest person, Parda Ziyatov will forever remain in our hearts," the presidential press service said. The head of state expressed deep condolences to his family and loved ones, wishing them fortitude and patience.
