In Namangan, a previously convicted employee of the People's Reception Office was detained for promising to arrange a land plot for house construction in exchange for a bribe. The operation was conducted by officers of the city department of the Department under the Prosecutor General's Office.

According to the agency, the acting chief specialist of the People's Reception Office offered a citizen help in obtaining 4 sotka (0.4 hectares) of land in the Yangi-Namangan district and processing the necessary documents. For this, he demanded $1,500.

The man received the money in his office and was detained with material evidence. It is noted that the detainee had previously been convicted.

A criminal case has been initiated, and an investigation is underway. Earlier, in the Tashkent region, an assistant prosecutor was detained while receiving a bribe of $12,000 for resolving two issues.
