Uzbekistan has declared October 1, Teachers' and Mentors' Day, a day off for all workers. No additional days off are provided in connection with the holiday, according to the Inspectorate for Control in the Sphere of Education.

October 2, Friday, will be a working day for everyone, the agency reported.

October 3, Saturday, will be a day off for those on a five-day work week, while for employees on a six-day work week, it will be a working day.

Earlier, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev awarded educators, scientists, and coaches on the occasion of the professional holiday. Teachers' and Mentors' Day is celebrated annually in Uzbekistan on October 1 and is an important date for all workers in the education system.
