Another corruption case within the educational sector has come to light in the Kashkadarya region of Uzbekistan, highlighting ongoing challenges in local institutional governance. According to official reports, the director of a secondary school in the Guzar district was implicated in demanding illegal payments in exchange for securing an employment position for an English language teacher.

The apprehension was carried out through an operational sting conducted by the Karshi city department of the Prosecutor General's Office. Law enforcement officers reportedly caught the school administrator red-handed as he accepted a bribe amounting to 600 US dollars. Such incidents continue to raise concerns regarding administrative oversight and integrity within regional public institutions.

Following the arrest, a criminal case has been formally initiated under the relevant provisions of the country's criminal code, and comprehensive investigative procedures are currently underway. This event follows a series of recent anti-corruption interventions across various regions, including a prior incident involving a tainted official in Namangan.
