A fatal traffic accident occurred in the Ishtikhan district of the Samarkand region, where an Epica passenger car violently crashed into a roadside metal barrier. According to local authorities, the impact was severe enough to cause fatal injuries, resulting in the driver dying at the scene before medical assistance could arrive.

Official reports indicate that the incident took place on October 27 at approximately 21:00 local time, along the 80th kilometer of the D-076 highway passing through the Kongrat makhalla territory. The vehicle was reportedly traveling toward Paishanba when the driver allegedly lost control of the automobile.

Preliminary assessments by officials claim that the tragic crash was caused by driver negligence and a failure to maintain proper situational awareness on the roadway. Critics note that persistent issues with driver focus and adherence to safety protocols continue to plague regional transport networks, raising concerns over overall road safety standards.

The Investigative Department of the Ishtikhan District Internal Affairs Division has officially initiated a criminal case in connection with the incident, and preliminary investigative actions are currently underway. Authorities have reiterated standard calls for motorists to strictly observe speed limits and maintain safe distances.
