Practical steps are underway to implement a major investment project involving the construction of a large-scale logistics hub by the online retailer Wildberries. The facility will be located on a 67.3-hectare land plot in the Bogzor mahalla of the Zangiata district in the Tashkent region.

According to preliminary estimates, total investments in the project are expected to reach approximately 140 million dollars. The complex itself is projected to span 180 thousand square meters, with construction slated for completion between 2027 and 2028.

Design works are currently ongoing, and the actual construction phase is scheduled to kick off in late October. The ambitious project is expected to generate around 7.5 thousand new jobs for the local workforce upon completion.

Additionally, at least 2 thousand individuals will undergo specialized training through dedicated educational programs. A key priority of the initiative will also include promoting domestic goods onto international markets and significantly boosting local export volumes.

For context, the investment agreement between the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade and Wildberries was officially concluded following the Third Council of Regions of Uzbekistan and Russia, held on October 6 in Fergana.
