Another alarming wave of digital fraud has been identified, targeting citizens by impersonating high-ranking government officials online. Specifically, authorities discovered that fake messages are being actively sent via the Telegram messenger app purportedly on behalf of Ilhom Siradjev, the Deputy Minister of Education and Science. Subsequent checks confirmed that these messages were never authored or sent by the official himself.
Furthermore, official sources verified that the account utilized in these deceptive mailings is not the personal Telegram page of Mr. Siradjev. Malicious actors are allegedly attempting to manipulate public trust by exploiting his position. For context, Ilhom Siradjev was appointed to the role of Deputy Minister of Education and Science for compliance and internal anti-corruption control on October 3.
In response to this security breach, the ministry has issued a strong public warning, urging citizens to remain highly vigilant and cautious. People are strongly advised not to respond to such suspicious inquiries, never to disclose SMS confirmation codes to third parties, and strictly avoid sharing personal data, official documents, or other confidential information with unverified accounts.
