Former Migration Agency Director Behzod Musayev has assumed the position of Chairman of the Board of the "Vatandoshlar" Public Foundation. Information regarding this leadership shuffle was officially published on the organization's website, with Odildjon Sattarov—who had managed the foundation since September 2021—now stepping down to serve as deputy chairman.
The "Vatandoshlar" Foundation was established in 2021 to support compatriots living abroad, foster their public associations, and harness their professional potential for domestic development. Musayev departed from his previous role at the Migration Agency due to a transition to other responsibilities, handing over the agency's helm to Muxsinhuja Abdurahmonov.
Notably, Musayev's previous tenure was shadowed by media investigations detailing business assets and real estate holdings allegedly registered under close relatives. Reports highlighted family-owned commercial properties and a hotel in Tashkent worth millions of dollars, drawing scrutiny from investigative journalists and public registries.
Furthermore, Musayev's administrative record previously faced public friction following allegations made by a former agency employee, Azizbek Toshtemirov, who circulated audio recordings and correspondence regarding internal demands. Despite these controversies, the official transition places Musayev at the center of diaspora outreach efforts.
