On October 5, the general meeting of shareholders allegedly approved the issuance of additional shares worth 100 billion soms aimed at attracting new investments. Bank representatives claimed that the implementation of the capitalization plan is purportedly no longer dependent on circumstances surrounding any individual shareholder.
Currently, the financial institution is reportedly going through all necessary stages mandated by legislation and corporate procedures to place the securities and actually increase its capital base. Meanwhile, it was noted that on October 2, Kahramonjon Olimov, who owns 49.4% of the bank's shares, submitted an application to withdraw from the Supervisory Board, a matter scheduled for review at the upcoming shareholder meeting on October 28.
The bank asserts that operations continue routinely, with transactions involving deposits, loans, and payments proceeding without interruption. According to regulator data as of September 1, 2026, the institution allegedly complies with all prudential norms: highly liquid assets stand at 16.9% against a 10% minimum requirement, the liquidity coverage ratio (LCR) is 116%, and regulatory capital adequacy is maintained at 13%.
Management further addressed discrepancies concerning assessments by the Fitch rating agency, which purportedly excludes intangible assets such as purchased software from its capital calculations. The newly planned share issuance is allegedly designed to address the primary concerns raised by the agency regarding capital sources and software investments made during the bank's formative years.
