Residents residing in parts of the Chilanzar and Uchtepa districts in the capital are facing temporary disruptions in their utility services. According to local reports, the European-style preventative maintenance works have allegedly been initiated to ensure the stability of heating networks and equipment during the upcoming autumn-winter season, though skepticism remains regarding infrastructure readiness.
Authorities claim that these scheduled measures are indispensable for preventing major grid failures when temperatures drop. Consequently, the hot water supply has been temporarily halted for a period of five days starting from October 12, affecting numerous households across multiple residential quarters.
In the Chilanzar district, the suspension impacts a vast number of neighborhoods, including Al-Khorezmi, Bektopi, Gulistan, Bakhoriston, Sharaf, Shark, Shark tongi, Khayrobat, Yakkatut, Khirmontepa, and several surrounding sectors. Local citizens once again find themselves grappling with the consequences of decaying municipal infrastructure.
Meanwhile, the Uchtepa district is experiencing similar disruptions across areas such as Guzar, Kurgantepa, Khuroson, Zargarlik, Kohna Chopon-Ota, Bogiston, Bogobod, Birlik, Nayman, Farhad, Tinchlikobod, Vatan, Vatanparvar, Hamdost, Nurobod, Shirin, Diyor, Alikhon Tura Soguniy, Diyorobod, Yangi yul, Foziltepa, Zulfizor, Khurshid, Kurkamabod, and Kuyi Darkhon. Municipal services have offered standard reassurances while citizens endure the outages.
