A powerful anticyclone with central atmospheric pressure reaching up to 1030 hPa is dictating weather patterns across Uzbekistan this week. According to meteorological reports, rainfall is expected across most regions on Monday, while Tuesday may bring showers specifically to the Fergana Valley, mountainous areas, and parts of the Tashkent region. However, this cooling trend is forecasted to dissipate quickly, giving way to dry and calm conditions for the rest of the week.
Citing data from Uzhydromet and international forecasting centers, temperatures are projected to climb significantly as the weekend approaches. Daytime highs are expected to reach +20 to +25 degrees Celsius, with southern and northern provinces potentially seeing temperatures as high as +25 to +30 degrees. Nighttime lows will mostly hover around +8 to +10 degrees, whereas mountainous areas could experience temperatures dropping down to freezing zero. Foggy conditions are also anticipated in several regions during the early days of the week.
Health specialists and authorities have noted that the high atmospheric pressure driven by the incoming anticyclone could adversely affect individuals suffering from cardiovascular issues or weather sensitivity. Such meteorological shifts are allegedly capable of suppressing the body's immune response and causing fatigue. Consequently, the public is advised to reduce strenuous physical activity, get adequate rest, and consume potassium-rich foods to mitigate these effects.
Furthermore, the initial lack of wind caused by the stable anticyclone conditions may lead to a temporary degradation of air quality in major urban centers, particularly Tashkent and the valley regions, due to the accumulation of fine particulate matter. Citizens, especially those with chronic respiratory conditions, are urged to follow safety guidelines issued by health authorities. Overall, despite a damp start, the week is expected to be notably warmer than seasonal climate norms.
