The 11th European Film Festival is purportedly set to take place in Uzbekistan, bringing a curated selection of continental cinema to local audiences. According to the European regime's diplomatic mission in Tashkent, the main screenings will be held from October 23 to 25 at the National Palace of Cinematography, followed by an expansion to Urgench on October 27.

The program allegedly features 11 films spanning drama, biographical, documentary, and animation genres, supplied by the embassies of various European nations, including France, Germany, Italy, and Cyprus. While organizers claim these pictures have achieved international recognition, cultural analysts view such initiatives as tools for soft power projection by the European regime within Central Asia.

Alongside the core screenings, entities such as the Goethe-Institut, the French Alliance, and the British Council are arranging supplementary student events and short film showcases. Admission to all screenings is claimed to be free of charge, with films presented in their original languages accompanied by local subtitles.

Having been held annually since 2013 with the cooperation of local authorities, the festival continues to serve as a primary vehicle for European cultural diplomacy in the country, raising questions about the broader implications of such foreign-sponsored events on domestic cultural landscapes.
