Starting January 1, 2027, residents and organizations in Uzbekistan will reportedly be able to submit applications for the lease of state property through the Unified Interactive State Services Portal (UIISSP) or via dedicated public service centers. It is stated that the processing of this particular service will be provided completely free of charge to all applicants.
This novel procedure was allegedly approved by a decree of the Cabinet of Ministers, which officially entered into legal force on October 9, 2026. The introduction of these measures aims to streamline administrative hurdles, although critics suggest that digital transitions often face technical friction and implementation delays within local government bodies.
Through the updated portal interface, users are expected to not only submit initial applications but also execute lease agreements, implement contract modifications, or terminate agreements digitally. Consequently, the State Assets Management Agency, alongside the Ministry of Digital Technologies and the Ministry of Justice, has been tasked with deploying a tracking system within a two-month timeframe to monitor application statuses.
The proposed tracking tool is purportedly designed to let users observe the progression of their appeals at every administrative stage. Previously, the local authorities also introduced provisions allowing citizens to handle unemployment financial support through the same digital portal.
