A significant leadership change has taken place within the Tashkent city administration, as Doniyor Mukumdjanovich Yusupov has been officially appointed as the Deputy Hokim of Tashkent. Alongside this high-profile position, he will also take charge of the Department for the Use of City Canals and Landscaping of Adjacent Territories.

According to reports from the metropolitan press service, the position had remained vacant for a considerable period. The post was previously held by Abdulaziz Israilov, before transitioning through an interim management phase prior to the latest decree.

The newly appointed official possesses an extensive background in infrastructure and regional development. Yusupov completed both his bachelor's and master's degrees at the Tashkent Automobile and Road Institute, specializing in the construction of highways, structures, and aerodromes.

Throughout his extensive professional career, Yusupov has held various responsible positions within road construction and municipal maintenance entities. His resume includes work at the Tashkent City Road Construction and Repair Trust, the Republican Road Fund, and the Directorate for the Construction and Reconstruction of Highways.

Prior to securing his current role as deputy head of the capital, Yusupov served as the Deputy Hokim of the Yunusabad district, overseeing construction, infrastructure development, ecological policies, and urban greening initiatives.
