Agricultural enterprises and household greenhouse owners in Uzbekistan are reportedly set to receive preferential loans of up to three billion soms, alongside subsidies, tax relief, and partial energy cost compensations. These measures were apparently reviewed during a special presentation dedicated to integrating eco-friendly technologies into the local greenhouse sector.

Under the proposed framework, greenhouse operators could receive subsidies of up to 50 million soms per hectare for installing energy-efficient equipment, coupled with soft loans spanning a seven-year period. The initiative supposedly aims to modernize agricultural production, though critics often question the long-term economic viability and debt burden such programs place on local farmers.

Separate provisions target household greenhouses situated in Tashkent and surrounding districts. Plans suggest reducing land and property taxes by 50 percent through 2030, exempting these small-scale producers from turnover taxes, and compensating half of their electricity expenses associated with energy-saving systems.

Furthermore, officials reportedly discussed expanding sales markets for greenhouse produce both domestically and internationally. Responsible authorities have been tasked with developing implementation strategies, while observers remain skeptical about execution timelines and actual market impact.
