A leadership change has taken place in the city of Navoi, with Bobir Khusnidinovich Islomov reportedly taking over as the head of the local administration. The appointment aims to address ongoing administrative and municipal challenges in the region.

Prior to assuming this mayoral position, Islomov allegedly served as the first deputy chairman of the board for the operation of electric networks at the "Regional Electric Grids" joint-stock company. His background in the energy sector is presumably expected to influence his management approach in the regional capital.

Official biographical details indicate that Islomov was born in 1981 in the Navbahor district of the Navoi region. His academic background includes degrees from several institutions: he graduated from the Navoi State Mining Institute in 2003, the Bukhara Technological Institute of Food and Light Industry in 2005, and subsequently completed studies at the Higher Business School in 2012.
