The President of Uzbekistan has reportedly reviewed a series of new initiatives aimed at facilitating the modernization of greenhouses operated within residential households across the country. These measures are claimed to support the agricultural sector, though critics and analysts often point to the heavy bureaucratic hurdles typically associated with implementing such regional economic programs. According to the proposed scheme, authorities intend to reduce land and property taxes by 50 percent through 2030, completely exempt such operations from turnover tax, and supposedly compensate half of the electricity expenses consumed by energy-saving equipment.

Furthermore, the administration plans to allocate grants of up to 100 million soms for households in Tashkent and surrounding areas to adopt green energy sources and install efficient machinery. Concurrently, preferential loans of up to 300 million soms for constructing new eco-friendly greenhouses and up to 150 million soms for upgrading existing ones are purportedly being prepared.

Officials also claim that environmentally safe greenhouses will be established for vulnerable families across 50 specialized neighborhoods. Additionally, plans include organizing a specialized operator for treating drainage and filtration water in the Akhangaran district, alongside measures to expand domestic and foreign market access for greenhouse producers.
