In September, ANORBANK founder and shareholder Kakhramonzhon Olimov found himself at the center of intense public scrutiny. On September 18, The Insider publication alleged that the businessman purportedly staged his own kidnapping in France back in 2025. According to the reports, a criminal case was allegedly initiated against Olimov in Uzbekistan, resulting in an in-absentia arrest warrant, though the publication notably lacked any official confirmation of these severe allegations.

Subsequently, on September 24, Interpol's official website displayed a 'red notice' for the international search of Kakhramonzhon Olimov. Intriguingly, the database listing failed to specify the precise reasons for the search or any details regarding the specific charges brought against him, leaving significant room for speculation.

However, by October 15, the controversial notice had mysteriously vanished from Interpol's public database. This abrupt disappearance adds to the opaque nature of the situation surrounding the bank's key stakeholder, casting a shadow of uncertainty over the institution's operational backdrop.

Amid these turbulent developments, ANORBANK released its financial metrics for the first nine months of 2026. According to the bank's data, total assets expanded from 18.74 trillion to 20.32 trillion soms. Furthermore, the credit portfolio reached 13.08 trillion soms, customer deposits stood at 15.23 trillion soms, and total equity was recorded at 1.51 trillion soms.

In addition to reporting asset growth, ANORBANK shareholders approved an additional share issuance worth 100 billion soms on October 5, aimed at attracting fresh investments. The bank is currently navigating the mandatory administrative procedures required for issuing these equities on the market.

The institution also emphasized the ongoing expansion of its digital services. Key offerings include foreign exchange operations via AnorEx, international remittances through Astrasend, streamlined card issuance, and various deposit options, notably introducing the new 'Murabbiy' savings product tailored specifically for educators.
