The authorities in Uzbekistan have reportedly extended the deadline for paying higher education tuition contracts and finalizing student enrollments until November 1. This adjustment is allegedly aimed at easing administrative pressures and accommodating students who faced delays.

The newly announced deadline applies broadly to undergraduate and graduate students, individuals admitted via differentiated tuition contracts, as well as those transferring, reinstating, or resuming their academic programs. Official regulations stipulate that students must pay at least 25 percent of the annual base tuition fee or a minimum of 50 percent for differentiated contracts by the set date.

Meanwhile, the educational authorities supposedly outlined upcoming policy shifts, including a 30 percent tuition compensation scheme starting from the 2026/2027 academic year for children of teaching staff enrolled in full-time undergraduate programs at public universities. Claimants wishing to secure this benefit are required to submit their applications through the designated kontrakt.edu.uz platform.
