Premier of the State Council of China Li Qiang has arrived in Tashkent for an official two-day visit. Following the conclusion of his engagements in Uzbekistan, the high-ranking official is reportedly scheduled to travel onward to Tajikistan.

The visit is allegedly taking place at the invitation of Uzbekistan's Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, according to statements from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As part of the itinerary, Li Qiang, accompanied by his Uzbek counterpart, visited the 'Yangi Uzbekistan' park in Tashkent. *

During the tour, the Chinese premier laid a wreath at the base of the Independence Monument and familiarized himself with the architectural concept of the complex. The Chinese authorities claim that Beijing looks forward to further strengthening political trust and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.

According to evaluations from Beijing, bilateral relations have been developing actively in recent years. It is worth noting that back in August, Chinese leader Xi Jinping and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting in Bishkek to outline future trajectories for bilateral engagement.
