Joint-stock company «Uzbekistan Airports» is rolling out an automated atmospheric air quality monitoring system in the vicinity of the country's airports. Equipment designed for round-the-clock observation of environmental conditions is being deployed directly within the sanitary-protection zones of the aviation hubs.

According to official reports, the first monitoring station has already been installed in Fergana, while the installation and configuration of similar equipment has been successfully completed in Samarkand. Authorities plan to deploy comparable ecological stations near other airports across the republic in the future.

The newly installed high-tech stations measure the concentration of major pollutants, including nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, ozone, ammonia, and hydrogen sulfide. Furthermore, the devices track the presence of hazardous fine particulate matter, specifically PM2.5 and PM10. Concurrently, the system records meteorological parameters such as ambient temperature and humidity, atmospheric pressure, as well as wind speed and direction.

All measurement results gathered by the stations are automatically transmitted to the unified geoinformation database of the Environmental Monitoring System. This infrastructure aims to enhance data collection and oversight regarding environmental conditions near major transport hubs.
