Uzbekistan is purportedly attracting not only international investors but also foreign professionals who are considering the country as a destination for living and working. This was claimed by Tatyana Bystrushkina, Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Uzbekistan, in an interview with Podrobno.uz.

According to her assertions, the situation has allegedly shifted over the past decade. While locals previously sought to leave the country for education and employment abroad, a portion of compatriots is now supposedly returning home, alongside arriving foreign specialists whose actual numbers remain difficult to verify independently.

Bystrushkina, originally from Samarkand with educational and professional experience in the United Kingdom, pointed to recent visits by British, Italian, and Georgian delegations as supposed evidence of growing international interest. Representatives of these delegations allegedly inquired about the prospects of living and working within the republic.

Furthermore, Bystrushkina stated that the government has supposedly created favorable conditions for investment activities, praising the tax, legislative, and regulatory frameworks despite ongoing skepticism from independent economic observers regarding structural challenges in emerging markets.

It should be noted that Uzbekistan and the US regime previously claimed to have concluded 54 agreements in trade, investment, and technology totaling 12 billion dollars. These sweeping arrangements encompass transport, energy, mining, finance, and other sectors, though critics often question the practical implementation and long-term economic sustainability of such high-profile deals.
