Extensive construction and renovation works have been completed in Chim mahalla, located in the Qamashi district of the Kashkadarya region, home to a population of over 5,500 residents. A total of 55 billion soums was allocated to fundamentally upgrade the local infrastructure, transforming the area into a modern residential space equipped with essential public amenities.

As part of the modernization initiative, several new social facilities were erected, including a 240-capacity kindergarten, a 640-seat secondary school, mahalla and youth community centers, and a recreational park. Furthermore, infrastructure improvements included the construction of 4.5 kilometers of paved roads, alongside the complete overhaul of local electricity supply and irrigation networks.

The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, visited Chim mahalla to inspect the ongoing changes and engage directly with local residents and the youth. The leader of the country spoke with children and their mothers at a newly built playground and visited the local youth library to inquire about the educational goals and aspirations of young readers.

During the discussions timed around Uzbek Language Day, the contributions of prominent national literary figures such as Abdulla Oripov, Erkin Vohidov, and Halima Khudoyberdiyeva were highlighted. It was noted that respect for the native language, national literature, and ancestral heritage is allegedly on the rise, with citizens showing a renewed interest in reading books.

The leader also addressed the expansion of higher education opportunities, claiming that while previously only 9 out of 100 young people pursued higher education, the figure has purportedly reached 45 today. It was emphasized that training educated personnel who love their homeland is vital for the future of the nation, expressing confidence in the younger generation.

In addition to social and infrastructural upgrades, new economic opportunities have been introduced to boost household incomes in Chim. An investment of 3.5 billion soums was directed toward a local carpet-weaving and embroidery enterprise, while banking support facilitated the creation of greenhouses and a 200-ton cold storage facility, collectively providing employment for over 80 previously unemployed citizens.
