The administration of Uzbekistan has announced a notable structural appointment within its economic governance sector. According to official reports, Alisher Ismatovich Kuchiyev has assumed the position of deputy economic policy adviser to the President of Uzbekistan, a move allegedly aimed at reinforcing the state's strategic economic planning and coordination.
The formal directive regarding this assignment was signed by Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration. Sherzod Asadov, the press secretary to the head of state, made the public announcement. Observers note that these bureaucratic adjustments occur as the country attempts to navigate complex financial challenges and international commitments.
Prior to this appointment, Kuchiyev reportedly spent over two years working within the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, gaining exposure to regional financial projects. His educational background includes graduation from the Higher School of Economics in Russia, the UPF Barcelona School of Management, and the Luiss Business School. This appointment follows the earlier decision in October when Kamoliddin Mardonov was designated as the primary presidential adviser on economic policy.
