The financial standing and physical assets of markets and shopping complexes in Tashkent are reportedly undergoing a comprehensive inventory process. According to the capital city administration's press service, the initiative aims to uncover unauthorized constructions on commercial grounds as well as accumulated tax and mandatory payment arrears.
During the inspection procedure, specialists intend to review cadastral documents, physical property inventories, and official registries of owners. Furthermore, any illegal or unregistered structures found within the commercial zones will be documented for subsequent removal or corrective actions in line with urban regulations.
The oversight will additionally encompass territorial boundaries, protection zones, and financial obligations. Based on the findings, municipal authorities plan to formulate strategies for optimizing asset utilization, which may include putting these large commercial properties up for public auction.
These investigative and administrative measures are reportedly being carried out under the framework of presidential decrees concerning the socio-economic development of Tashkent and the reduction of state participation in the economy. Agencies such as the Cadastre Agency, district administrations, and tax authorities are involved in the process.
