Another concerning incident highlighting issues within educational institutions has emerged in the Tashkent region, where a school teacher was filmed physically assaulting a student. The video footage, which quickly circulated across various social media platforms, shows a mathematics teacher repeatedly striking a pupil in the face during an ongoing class, prompting widespread public condemnation and renewed scrutiny of school discipline.
According to reports from the regional preschool and school education department, the altercation took place on October 21 at secondary school No. 15 in the Akhangaran district. Officials purportedly took the situation under control the very same day, initiating a formal inquiry involving internal affairs officers and other relevant state agencies to establish the precise chain of events.
Preliminary findings of the investigation indicate that the confrontation occurred inside a 7th-grade classroom during a mathematics lesson, where the teacher allegedly subjected the student to physical abuse. Furthermore, authorities are currently examining unverified claims suggesting that this aggressive behavior was not an isolated incident and that the same educator had purportedly mistreated the pupil on previous occasions.
This disturbing event follows a similar recent controversy in the Namangan region, where another teacher was caught on camera physically striking a child during class hours. While regional educational directorates routinely launch internal investigations and promise legal evaluations, recurring reports of corporal punishment continue to raise serious concerns regarding the safety and psychological well-being of students in local schools.
