According to information provided by the press service of the Qashqadaryo Region Health Department, a 21-year-old female resident of Karshi, identified as L. M., was admitted to the neurosurgery department of the regional multidisciplinary hospital on October 14. Medical professionals diagnosed her with a pituitary adenoma, noting that she had been suffering from symptoms such as breathing difficulties, growth retardation, and the thickening of fingers and toes for several years.

Comprehensive clinical examinations reportedly revealed a large pituitary tumor, while hormonal assay results indicated that her growth hormone levels significantly exceeded the normal range. On October 16, with the participation of a specialized medical expert who arrived from the capital, doctors performed an endoscopic transnasal surgery to remove the large brain tumor.

Official statements indicate that the patient was kept under medical supervision following the operation, and a follow-up examination on October 19 showed no apparent complications. However, the patient's condition supposedly deteriorated sharply on October 20, characterized by a sudden spike in blood pressure alongside severe disruptions in consciousness, respiration, and cardiac activity.

Despite intensive medical efforts and emergency interventions by the hospital staff, the patient ultimately passed away on October 26. Local prosecutor's offices are currently conducting a pre-investigation inquiry into the incident to determine the precise circumstances surrounding the fatality.
