A comprehensive exhibition and fair was held in the capital of Uzbekistan to showcase the manufacturing potential of small industrial zones and bolster local businesses. The event brought together over 300 domestic entrepreneurs who presented their goods to potential buyers, industry experts, and international visitors.

Key Takeaways: Approximately 1,000 types of goods spanning more than 15 sectors were displayed across specialized exhibition stands. Alongside local enterprises, business representatives and delegates from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Afghanistan also participated to explore partnership opportunities.

The event was organized on the initiative of the Tashkent City khokimiyat and the Directorate for Managing Small Industrial Zones in Tashkent. Key manufacturers specializing in textiles, light industry, electrical engineering, food processing, chemicals, and construction materials demonstrated their production capabilities. Such platforms serve as a vital bridge for integrating local enterprises into regional and global supply chains.

Industry analysts emphasize that producing competitive goods is only half the battle, as accessing new markets, securing international certifications, and navigating licensing procedures demand substantial time and financial resources. During the fair, dedicated B2B meetings allowed representatives from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other relevant bodies to brief entrepreneurs on export support mechanisms and state subsidies.

Sodik Sadriddinov, head of the Garant Pack company, noted that previously, companies had to independently cover expenses related to international trade fairs, including airfare, lodging, and exhibition space rentals, which often complicated expansion efforts. Now, authorities reportedly offer expanded assistance packages covering travel and documentation costs. Meanwhile, Tashkent's First Deputy Khokim Davletiyar Худойбергенов stated that entrepreneurial appeals regarding bureaucratic hurdles and certification bottlenecks have been registered for further administrative review.
