Uzbekistan has concluded the project selection phase for the first season of the 'Initiative Budget' program for 2026. From March 8 to 10, a three-day propaganda stage officially commenced, serving as a preparatory platform ahead of the decisive voting.

During this period, initiators of projects that passed the qualification selection can actively introduce the public to their proposals. The main goal of this stage is to attract the attention of mahalla residents and gather supporters to ensure maximum support for the project in the future.

The main voting stage will begin on March 11. Citizens will be able to cast their votes for the most important local initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, repairing roads, or beautifying territories. Winning projects will receive direct funding from the state budget for their implementation in the current year.

The Ministry of Economy and Finance urges citizens to be active and approach the selection of projects responsibly, as the priority of solving certain problems in the regions depends on the votes of residents.

It is recalled that changes have been made to the rules of the 'Initiative Budget' program. The relevant decision was adopted by the Senate on December 17, as reported by the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
