Uzbekistan has commenced the acceptance of project proposals for its 'Academic Mobility' program, an initiative designed to bolster the scientific activities of young researchers. The government has pledged to fully cover all expenses associated with the implementation of approved projects under this scheme.

According to a press release from the Agency for Innovative Development under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovations, the updated platform akadem.ilmiy.uz enables applications to be submitted entirely digitally, streamlining the documentation process and enhancing accessibility for participants.

Eligibility criteria for the program include: applicants must be under 40 years of age, irrespective of academic degree, title, position, or workplace; each participant may submit only one scientific project; project funding must not exceed 200 times the Basic Calculation Value (BCV); and the project implementation period ranges from one to six months.

Applications are being accepted until 23:55 on March 30 via the electronic platform akadem.ilmiy.uz. In a related development, it was noted that a startup ideas competition is also being launched in schools and colleges across Uzbekistan, reflecting a broader push to foster innovation within the educational landscape.
