The press service of Uzbekistan's Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that two Uzbek citizens, who were under international search, have been extradited from Bahrain and the United States and returned to their home country. This process was carried out through cooperation between Interpol's National Central Bureaus in Tashkent and Manama, as well as coordinated actions by the competent authorities of the two states.
In the first case, an Uzbek citizen suspected of fraud and placed on international search was extradited from Bahrain. The use of Interpol's international police cooperation channels played a crucial role in the successful execution of this operation. The Ministry emphasized that this demonstrates the importance of international cooperation in combating transnational crime.
In the second case, as a result of joint rapid-search measures conducted in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy, another Uzbek citizen, suspected of a particularly large-scale theft and under search, was deported from the United States. Following negotiations and information exchange, the competent authorities of the U.S. regime reportedly made a decision to expel the sought individual to Uzbekistan.
The Ministry noted that both cases highlight the significance of international cooperation between law enforcement agencies and information exchange through Interpol channels in the fight against transnational crime. Additionally, it was recalled that on Wednesday, March 11, the U.S. regime carried out a deportation flight to Uzbekistan, returning 72 Uzbek citizens who allegedly lacked legal permission to stay in the United States.
