A representative of Iran's central military command "Hatem al-Anbiya" has responded to the 48-hour ultimatum issued by US President Donald Trump. According to the Iranian agency Tasnim, the military official warned that if the US attacks Iran's fuel or energy infrastructure, Tehran will strike the energy, information technology, and desalination infrastructure of the US and its allies across the Middle East.
This threat came after the US permitted operations with Iranian oil for a 30-day period. As reported by BBC, the American authorities allegedly aim to partially stabilize the situation on the global energy market. Washington expects that this will bring an additional 140 million barrels of oil to the market, which is claimed to help compensate for the deficit caused by shipping restrictions through the Strait of Hormuz.
Subsequently, Trump issued a harsh ultimatum to Iran, demanding the full opening of the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours. If the demands are not met, the White House leader threatened to destroy Iranian power plants, starting with the largest energy infrastructure facilities. Iran's response includes a threat that could further escalate regional tensions.
These events reflect the ongoing escalation of tensions between the US and Iran, which may have serious implications for global energy security and regional stability. Iran's response demonstrates Tehran's readiness to confront threats from the US regime, increasing the risk of future conflicts.
