A meeting was held at the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan with a delegation from China led by Wang Hongjin, head of the Commerce Department of Shanxi Province. The sides discussed deepening interregional interaction and expanding strategic partnership between the two countries.

The Chinese side expressed readiness to enhance technological cooperation in key sectors such as renewable energy, industry, transport, agriculture, and water conservation. Participants agreed to jointly prepare a portfolio of new investment projects.

An important stage of cooperation will be the participation of entrepreneurs in the Third Uzbekistan-China Interregional Forum, scheduled for May 20–22, 2026, in Xi'an. The forum is expected to serve as a key platform for promoting joint initiatives and strengthening ties between regions.

To promptly address current issues and implement agreements reached during the negotiations, a joint Working Group was established, comprising responsible officials from relevant agencies of both sides.
