Uzbekistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held a meeting with Iran's Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Mohammad Ali Eskandari, in Tashkent. During the talks, the sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as the current situation in the Central Asian and Middle Eastern regions.

The diplomats focused particularly on maintaining regional stability and preventing new escalations of tension. Saidov emphasized that any further escalation of conflicts would inevitably lead to severe humanitarian consequences and create serious threats to collective security. He highlighted the need to curb destructive processes that could destabilize the situation.

Uzbekistan reaffirmed its consistent and principled stance on international disputes. According to a statement from the foreign ministry, all existing disagreements must be resolved exclusively through peaceful means. Tashkent calls on the parties to actively utilize dialogue and diplomacy as the only legitimate path to long-term peace.
