US President Donald Trump delivered a televised address to the nation regarding the ongoing military campaign against Iran. In his speech, he expressed a desire to discuss why Operation Epic Fury is allegedly necessary for the security of the US and the free world. Trump emphasized that since 2015, he has sworn never to allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons, calling the possibility an “intolerable risk.” He also claimed that Iran has amassed a “vast arsenal” of ballistic missiles posing a threat to US territory.

According to Trump, his primary priority has always been diplomacy, but the Iranian government purportedly continued to relentlessly pursue nuclear weapons and rejected all attempts to reach an agreement. Therefore, in June, he ordered strikes on key Iranian nuclear facilities under Operation Night Hammer. Later, the Iranian authorities allegedly attempted to restart their nuclear program elsewhere, clearly showing no intention to abandon the quest for nuclear weapons. Trump stated that US military forces have nearly completed their assigned tasks in the war with Iran, with major strategic goals on the verge of conclusion.

The US president claimed that Iran’s navy has been destroyed, its air force decimated, and its missiles nearly exhausted or disabled. These actions, he asserted, collectively weaken the Iranian army, undermine its ability to support terrorist groups, and deprive it of the capability to create a nuclear bomb. Simultaneously, Trump hinted at readiness to escalate US military responses and threatened to “send Iran back to the Stone Age.” He promised an “overwhelming strike” within the next two to three weeks.

Trump also addressed the issue of the Strait of Hormuz, blocked by Iran, stating that the United States hardly imports any oil through the strait and will not do so in the future. He emphasized that world countries relying on oil via the Strait of Hormuz should handle the matter themselves, urging them to seize, protect, and use the strait for their purposes. Trump added that the hardest work is done, so it should be easy now, and after the conflict ends, the strait will naturally reopen.

In response to Trump’s address, the Iranian Armed Forces General Staff threatened new strikes, stressing that the war will continue until the US and Israel face “humiliation, disgrace, long-term regret, and ultimate surrender.” The statement said, “After the powerful and unimaginable blows you have already received, expect even more deadly, extensive, and destructive actions from us.”
