Iranian missiles and drones have caused substantial damage to US military infrastructure in the Middle East, as reported by The Times. According to the publication, the majority of 13 military bases in Persian Gulf countries used by American forces came under attack, with total damage in the first month of hostilities estimated at nearly $1.5 billion.
During this period, 13 US service members were killed and over 300 were wounded. The most severe damage was recorded at several key facilities: in Saudi Arabia, at Prince Sultan Air Base, one American soldier was killed and 15 were wounded, with KC-135 refueling aircraft and an E-3 Sentry airborne early warning aircraft also damaged.
In Qatar, at Al Udeid Air Base, a long-range radar station worth over $1 billion was destroyed. In Bahrain, the headquarters of the US Fifth Fleet was hit in a drone attack, damaging radar and communication equipment valued at around $200 million. In the UAE, at Al Dhafra Air Base, nine MQ-9 Reaper drones, each worth $30 million, were destroyed, while in Jordan, a radar station at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base sustained serious damage estimated at $500 million.
