UK police have arrested three individuals following an attempted arson attack on the offices of a Persian-language media organization in northwest London. The incident occurred in the Wembley area around 8:30 PM local time on Wednesday, with authorities responding swiftly to the threat.

According to a statement from London's Metropolitan Police, a 16-year-old boy and two men aged 19 and 21 were detained on suspicion of arson endangering life. Officers on patrol discovered that an “ignited container” had been thrown toward the premises, landing in a car park where the fire extinguished on its own without causing damage.

Police pursued a black SUV believed to be involved in the incident, which later crashed northwest of Wembley. No injuries or structural damage were reported. As a precaution, several nearby buildings were evacuated, but authorities soon assessed there was no wider risk to the public.

The investigation is now being led by counter-terrorism detectives, although the incident is not being treated as a terrorist act. Police clarified that this case is not linked to this week's arson attack on a synagogue in Finchley or last month's torching of Jewish community ambulances in Golders Green.

The UK's Press Association reported that the attack targeted the offices of Volant Media, the parent company of Iran International, a UK-based Persian news channel known for its critical coverage of the Iranian government. This incident highlights ongoing security concerns for media outlets operating in London amid geopolitical tensions.
