Tehran has officially denied reports that it is ready to ship enriched uranium abroad, calling Western media publications about the details of Iran's peace proposal "untrue."

The Islamic Republic's demands are based on guarantees of an immediate ceasefire on all fronts and long-term non-aggression commitments. One of the most controversial points is the transfer of the Strait of Hormuz under full Iranian control. Tehran expressed readiness to gradually unblock this strategic waterway, but only if Washington fulfills a number of reciprocal obligations.

Specifically, Iran proposes a 30-day transition period. During this month, the US must completely lift sanctions on Iranian oil exports, unfreeze the country's state assets, and end the naval blockade in the region.

Earlier, the US rejected Iran's counterproposal for resolving the regional conflict. US President Donald Trump called Tehran's position "absolutely unacceptable," stating that the document's content does not advance the negotiation process. Tehran reacted neutrally, saying that "proposals are based on Iran's national interests, not for Washington's approval."

Amid the diplomatic deadlock, voices in the US Senate are calling for a shift to a military scenario, including the possible resumption of the previously halted naval escort operation in the Persian Gulf.
