Paris Saint-Germain has won the UEFA Champions League for the second year in a row, defeating Arsenal in a penalty shootout in the final.
The decisive match was tense and ended 1-1 in regular time. Kai Havertz put the London club ahead in the sixth minute, but Paris equalized in the second half. On the 65th minute, Ousmane Dembélé converted a penalty to level the score.
Extra time failed to produce a winning goal, so the trophy was decided by penalties. PSG players proved more accurate, winning 4-3 and claiming Europe's top club prize again.
For the French club, this is their second consecutive Champions League triumph. Last season, Paris dominated the final, crushing Inter Milan 5-0.
On their way to the title this campaign, PSG also overcame Monaco, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Bayern Munich.
