The countdown to the most expensive World Cup in history is on. The 2026 FIFA World Cup, hosted by the US, Mexico, and Canada, will feature 16 stadiums across the three nations.

The US leads with 11 venues, Mexico has 3, and Canada 2. Among the most notable is MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, built at a cost of $1.6 billion and seating 82,500. It will host the final match.

SoFi Stadium in California, costing $5-6 billion, is the world's most expensive sports venue. With a capacity of 70,240, it serves as home to the LA Rams and Chargers. AT&T Stadium in Dallas, seating 80,000, will host a semifinal.

Uzbekistan's national team will play key group matches: against DR Congo at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, against Portugal at NRG Stadium in Houston, and against Colombia at the iconic Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. Azteca is the only stadium to have hosted two World Cup finals (1970 and 1986).

Other venues include BMO Field in Toronto, BC Place in Vancouver, Estadio Akron in Guadalajara, and Estadio BBVA in Monterrey. All stadiums are modern, with high capacities and advanced infrastructure, ready to welcome fans from around the globe.
