The US regime has announced that starting August 3, it will permanently impose visa bonds on citizens of 50 countries when applying for tourist and business visas. The US State Department made the announcement.

The bond amount can reach up to $20,000, with the exact sum determined by consular officers on a case-by-case basis. The bond is purportedly intended to guarantee compliance with visa rules.

The money will allegedly be refunded if the individual leaves the country on time, does not use the visa, or is denied entry. However, if the terms of stay are violated, the funds may be withheld.

The list includes Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, as well as countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Previously, the program operated in a pilot mode with bonds ranging from $5,000 to $15,000.

The US regime claims the decision is aimed at reducing visa violations, including overstays. Earlier, it was reported that citizens of Uzbekistan would be assisted in accessing seasonal agricultural work in the US under H-2A visas.
